Research Alert: Table of Contents (ToC) Alert

Similar to most databases that automatically notify new issues, literature, or index results via email or RSS feed, ToC Alert tracks releases and notifies you via email with the table of contents. Take Airiti Library as an example, subscription procedures is as follows:

  • Step 1: Go to Airiti Library, Browse the list and choose the journal under Browse by Discipline.
  • Step 2: Click Personal Service and Subscribe to the Catalogue, then enter username and password.
  • Step 3: A message will appear to indicate successful subscription.
  • Step 4: Email alerts will be sent in the future.

Research Alert: Citation Alert

The Web of Science help update publications, articles by other authors, citations of previous searches and papers, or the latest developments in your field. Subscription is as follows:

  • Step 1: Access WOS from the NCHU Library homepage (go to Electronic Resources ® Database).
  • Step 2: Go to Single Articles and click Create Citation Alert (on the top right).
  • Step 3: Create a citation alert.

Note: Alert is personalized so sign-ups are often required.

  • Step 4: View and modify settings in Saved Searches & Alerts under My Tools.

Research Alert: Search Alert

Receive email notifications or RSS feeds to stay current with the latest records matching saved searches. The IEEE/IET Electronic Library contains almost one-third of the world’s current literature on electronic and electrical engineering, communications, and computer science. How? IEEE Alert offers 2 types of services: (1) Search Alert to stay up-to-date with the latest literature on a specific topic, and (2) Content Alert to receive updates on the table of contents of most current issues to keep up with the latest trends.

Search Alertlatest literature on a specific topic

  • Step 1: Access IEL from the NCHU Library homepage (go to Electronic Resources ® Database).
  • Step 2: Search with keywords from topic of interest

Please note:

    • Alert is personalized so sign-ups are often required.
    • Create Account or Personal Sign-In on the top right.
  • Step 3: Click Set Search Alert and Save for automatic monitoring and notifications.

Content Alert—updates on the table of contents of most current issues

  • Step 1: Click My Settings and Alerts.
  • Step 2: Choose subscription for automatic tracking and notifications.
  • Step 3: Email alerts will be sent in the future.
